Great packaging does three jobs: it protects freshness, communicates your brand, and fits your fulfillment channel. Here’s how to think about the main formats.
Flow-wrap
Best for single-serve and bars. Cost-effective at high volumes and great for impulse displays.
Stand-up resealable pouches
Ideal for multi-serve cookies and bite-size snacks. The resealable zipper is a strong selling point for shoppers who don’t finish a bag in one sitting.
Folding cartons
A premium look that works well for gifting and seasonal SKUs. Often paired with an inner flow-wrap for freshness.
Match packaging to your channel
- Grocery shelf. Prioritize shelf impact and clear branding.
- Club store. Larger multipacks and sturdy formats.
- DTC / e-commerce. Durability in transit matters more than shelf appeal.
